Back from one year hiatus

After not posting anything on DeviantArt for over a year, I decided it was time to come back. I'd been hesitating because of the new submission agreement (not so new any more) which I had misgivings about, but then I found a cool image I wanted to post and decided, "What the heck?". In other news, I'm now married and living in Chicago. Fun times...

Explanation for Hiatus

It's been awhile since I've posted, but I've got two good excuses. First of all, in mid November, my laptop was stolen along with all my photos. Fortunately, I had them backed up from August back, but I didn't have anywhere to put them. I also didn't have any clear place to put photos when I did take them.
Then on 26 November, four of my Christian Peacemaker Teams colleagues were kidnapped in Iraq (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_Christian_Peacemaker_hostage_crisis). I'm the contact person for CPT in the UK so for about two weeks I was getting media calls everyday. It got to the point where I'd dread having the phone ring because I thought

Hey there, I wanted to thank you for your watch over the last year and a half. I remember when the news story broke about your colleagues in Iraq, and I had no clue they were your friends. I am truly, truly sorry to realize that; I haven't heard anything lately, and I hope all goes for the best for them and their family. Again, thank you and take good care of yourself.
